West Bund Grand Theatre by Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects | GR

The Grand Theatre has a smooth, flowing design with 12,000 sqm of GRC cladding that resembles the texture and movement of water. Produced by Jiangsu Huiquan New Materials Technology, the cladding uses 11 types of slim GRC panels, each measuring 1800×3000mm, 20mm thick, and joined with 8mm seams. Over 12,000 panels were used in total, with many customized corners, all made with Aalborg White cement.
