A newly formed community to foster knowledge and networking White Cement Competence Centre consists of sales managers in the white cement and Aalborg Reseach and Quality Centre staff. We are a newly formed community and resently we had our first venue in Aalborg: A one-week seminar in Aalborg Research, Quality and Technical Centre (RQT) from Tuesday 27th October to Friday 30th of October.

                         
                         
                         
The seminar comprised education in cement production technology, cement applications and admixtures in cement applications.  We also did practical laboratory work, networking group presentations and technical discussions, and went on guided tours on the Aalborg plant, the RQC laboratory and on an architecture tour and see buildings in white concrete. Aalborg RQT staff gave all the lectures and several of the sessions where spiked with demonstration experiments showing the chemistry of cement hardening – ie frying an egg on the exothermal heat of cement hydration and other fun stuff!

                         
                        
The networking in the group was forged through the combination of gaining new knowledge and applying it in discussions with peers in an open-minded environment, and further supported by high-level gastronomic eating and beautiful accommodation on an old Danish castle on the country side!
                         
                       
                       
White Cement Competence Centre will continue it community activities after this seminar, eg by establishement of a Cnergy webpage, and we are looking forward to the next initiative in White Cement Competence Centre!
